Red Bud Rotary

On May 7, 2012, The Rotary Club of Red Bud welcomed yet another member to the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship. Named for the Founder of Rotary International, a Paul Harris Fellow Award is given to Rotary Club members who give a gift of $1,000 to the Rotary International Foundation. The Red Bud Rotary Club is proud to announce that Dian Albert has achieved this honor, joining 12 other members of the Club who have previously earned the Paul Harris Fellow Award.

On April 24, 2012, The Rotary Club of Red Bud welcomed a presenation from Todd Birkner, owner of N&B Fuel Mart, N&B Rentals, and Birkner’s Custom Edging.

On March 27, 2012, The Rotary Club of Red Bud welcomed Matt Laur, the Assistant Coach of one of the newest NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball programs in the country, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars. Laur, a former high school (Kinmudy HS) and college (McKendree College) standout basketball player, played professional basketball after graduating from McKendree College both in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Developmental League as well as overseas before turning his attention to coaching. Laur joined the coaching staff at SIUE 3 years ago, after holding college coaching and basketball operations positions at Missouri Southern Unversity and Ball State University.

 The Red Bud Rotary is pleased to announce that Rotary International has exceeded its fundraising goal in its mission to eradicate polio worldwide. Since 2007, when a matching challenge was pledged to Rotary International by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Red Bud Rotary has donated over $6,500 to Polio Plus.
